1 - Searching the Sandpiper Website

There are a number of different ways to search for a product at sandpipershoes.com and find your perfect extra wide footwear.

  • The first option is to select a product category on the homepage and filter the results:
    • To do this, use the scroll bar on the right or your mouse wheel to scroll down the homepage to the "Categories" section.
    • Click on the category you are interested in.
    • Scroll down the page to see the products listed in your chosen category.
    • Product selection can be narrowed further using the filters shown on the left.
    • These include category, colour, size, price, footwear style, footwear features and medical condition.
  • A second method of searching is to find a product via the main menu bar and filter the results.
    • Roll your mouse pointer over a category on the main menu bar to expand the menu.
    • Once the sub-categories are visible, click on the category of your choice, e.g. "Shoes".
    • Scroll down the page to see the products listed in your chosen category.
    • Product selection can be narrowed further using the filters shown on the left.
    • These include category, colour, size, price, footwear style, footwear features and medical condition.
  • The final method is to use the search box at the top of the website to search for a product name directly.
    • Click in the search box and type the product name.
    • Click "Search" to search.
    • Click on the product to view the product details page.

2 - Filtering and Choosing a Product

  • After you have searched or selected a product category you will see a product selection.
  • Product selection shown can be narrowed further using the filters shown on the left.
  • To filter results by colour, e.g. "Black" click on the black swatch on the left.
  • Product selection shown will now only show products matching that colour option.
  • To narrow your selection further, filter again e.g. "Footwear Style, Lace-Up Fastening".
  • The selection will now only show styles that match ALL criteria e.g. "Black" AND "Lace-Up Fastening".
  • Any filters can be removed by clicking on the "X" beside the relevant active filter.
  • Click on the product image to view the product details or to continue your purchase.

3 - Adding Products to Your Cart

  • The product details page contains images and full information about the selected style.
  • Use the angle bracket icons beside the main product image to view other images or videos of the product.
  • If you would like to see the full product details, scroll down the page to the "Details" section and click on the down arrow to view the full product details.
  • If you would like to view the delivery and return details, scroll down the page to the "Delivery & Returns" section and click on the down arrow to view the full delivery and return details.
  • To view customer reviews for this product, click on the down arrow on the "Reviews" section. Prices are shown both with and without VAT on products eligible for VAT relief.
  • To confirm if you are eligible for VAT relief purchases, click on the "?" beside "VAT Relief Available".
  • To close the VAT Relief information window, click on the "X" in the top, right-hand corner.
  • To add footwear to your shopping cart you MUST select both a colour AND a size even if there is only a single colour option available.
  • To select a colour, click on a colour swatch. If a size of the selected colour is currently unavailable, colour will be shown crossed out. Look out for deals! Some colour options may be on offer with a discount.
  • Once you have made your choice, click on a colour AND size option and then click on the "Add to Cart" button to add product to your cart.
  • Item will be added to your cart as indicated at the top of the page.
  • Add any further items you wish to purchase into your cart in the same way.
  • Once all items have been added, click on "My Cart" and then select "View and Edit Cart"
  •  You can adjust quantities or click "Proceed to Checkout" to complete your purchase.

4a - Checking Out as a Guest (not Signed-In)

Checking out on the Sandpiper website when not signed-in to a Sandpiper Account (as a guest).

  • Once you have added one (or more) products to your cart you are ready to check out.
  • To change a quantity in your cart, simply change the number in the box and click on the "Update Shopping Cart" button.
  • The order totals in the order Summary panel will update to match the new quantities.
  • If you change your mind, simply do the same again to change the quantities back.
  • Scroll down to see the "More Choice" section, with additional items related to the products in your cart. This could be shoe care or replacement insoles for example.
  • Click on an item to find out more details. If you wish, click "Add to Cart" and then click "Shopping Cart" to return to your cart.
  • To remove an item from your cart, click on the "Remove Item" link.
  • Once you are happy with the contents of your shopping cart, click on the "Proceed to Checkout" button.
  • On the "Shipping Address" page, please complete all details marked with red asterisks.
  • At the bottom of the page, choose your preferred "Shipping Method" and then click "Next".
  • As you are NOT signed in you will not be able to claim VAT relief on your order, so please click "Next".
  • On the "Review & Payments" page you can review your order and choose your payment method.
  • To pay by credit card (processed by Lloyds Cardnet) click "Credit / Debit Card Payment". Clicking on "Place Order" will take you to Lloyds Cardnet to complete your secure payment.
  • To pay by credit card (processed by Stripe) click "Card Payments by Stripe". Clicking on "Place Order" will take you to Stripe to complete your secure payment.
  • Both credit card payment methods are equally secure and it is purely down to your own preference which you would like to use.

4b - Checking Out (Signed-In)

Checking out on the Sandpiper website when signed-in to a Sandpiper Account.

  • Once you have added one (or more) products to your cart you are ready to check out.
  • To change a quantity in your cart, simply change the number in the box and click on the "Update Shopping Cart" button.
  • The order totals in the order Summary panel will update to match the new quantities.
  • If you change your mind, simply do the same again to change the quantities back.
  • Scroll down to see the "More Choice" section, with additional items related to the products in your cart. This could be shoe care or replacement insoles for example.
  • Click on an item to find out more details. If you wish, click "Add to Cart" and then click "Shopping Cart" to return to your cart.
  • To remove an item from your cart, click on the "Remove Item" link.

  • When you are signed-in, your previous address details will automatically be displayed.
  • If you would like to add a new address or ship to a different address, click on the "+ New Address" button.
  • On the "Shipping Address" page, please complete all details marked with red asterisks.
  • Once completed click "Ship Here" to save address or click "Cancel" to exit this window.
  • At the bottom of the page, choose your preferred "Shipping Method" and then click "Next".
  • The next page is the VAT Exemption page. You MUST be signed-in to your Sandpiper account to claim VAT relief on any eligible products. For full eligibility please click on the link and read criteria before claiming VAT relief on your purchase.
  • Once you have confirmed that you qualify, please complete the self-declaration form. You MUST agree to the VAT exemption terms & conditions to claim. Click on the link to read terms & conditions in full. Once agreed, click "Apply VAT Exemption" to apply exemption to your order. Once applied, VAT will be removed from all exempted products in the order totals on the right. Be aware, not all products can be purchased without VAT and VAT will always be charged on the shipping costs.
  • PLEASE NOTE: It is an offence to make a false VAT exemption declaration.
  • Once you have applied the VAT exemption or if you do not qualify for VAT exemption, click "Next" to continue.
  • On the "Review & Payments" page you can review your order, apply discounts and choose your payment method.
  • When signed-in to your account, click on the down arrow to access Feather Point discounts.
  • To pay by credit card (processed by Lloyds Cardnet) click "Credit / Debit Card Payment". Clicking on "Place Order" will take you to Lloyds Cardnet to complete your secure payment.
  • To pay by credit card (processed by Stripe) click "Card Payments by Stripe". Clicking on "Place Order" will take you to Stripe to complete your secure payment.
  • Both credit card payment methods are equally secure and it is purely down to your own preference which you would like to use.
